So, I've gotten senioritis, but for work. I'm not sure what to call it. Exemployeeitis? Newjobitis? Man, I need suggestions for a term.
Tonight is a friend of mine's 21st birthday. I was supposed to go out to dinner with a friend from work, but we'll see if she flakes on me or not. Either way, I'm having fun tonight with her or my friends or both.
I was watching the Colbert Report this morning and couldn't stop laughing when I saw this report. I thought everyone would enjoy it.
Cutline: Stephen asks Laurie Goodstein why Anglicans can't just ordain gay priests and then not talk about it -- like the Catholics.
As you may be familiar with, the Seattle Semicsonics are moving to Oklahoma City and not taking their name with them. Another suggestion, what should they be called? Mind you, it has to be relevant to the state. Suggestions by some can be
found on one of my favorite sports sites, Sportsfrog. Their suggestions are:
Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Thunder and Wind.
I personally enjoy the Barons or Wind. I mean, what's more mighty than a wind? Everyone knows that. And a Baron? I mean, he makes some of the best frozen pizza around.
So, my book club totally flaked on me. It was my turn to suggest a book, and I suggested "The Caves of Steel" by Isaac Asimov. You may recognize his name because he wrote "I, Robot". I thought the book was wonderful. And so did the other two people who read it in the group. However, 4 others didn't. Since we didn't have quorum, we can't meet. It kind of upsets me, just because I read all of their books and they all read them too. Oh well. Also, it was on my last day, so I was hoping that we could celebrate my leaving, but I guess not so much. They did say they wanted to keep me in the book club, though, after I leave the Statesman.

My problem with Barons is that the mascot would be horrible. A bison with a top hat and a monocle? Boo.
ooo! Man, I can totally picture the monocle. Great thinking!
When you said "Thunder and Wind" I thought it was one name. That would be sweet. Or the Oklahoma City Earth Wind and Fires. Also partial to the OKC fighting Kevin Durants, the Hicks, the Dusties or not-the-sonics
