So, I just figured out there is a direct bus route from my apartment building to my new job location. According to Capital Metro busing:
Wood Hollow at Far West (less than a block away from me)
Bus departs at 9:23 a.m.
At Nueces at MLK Blvd. (less than 2 blocks away from work)
Bus arrives at 9:51 a.m.
I start work at 10 a.m. Then, I'm supposed to leave work at 7 p.m.
At Rio Grande at MLK Blvd. (less than 1 block away from work)
Bus departs at 7:25 p.m. (nice amount of time after work, in case something runs over)
Wood Hollow at Far West (less than a block away from me)
Bus arrives at 7:52 p.m.
Ok, now maybe you aren't as excited as I am. But, this means I can save so much money on gas. I can read books on my way to and from work or even listen to audiobooks on my iPod. All in all, it seems like a great idea. Also, the office where I'm going is having many parking issues, which will just get worse when UT gets back in, so I'm helping the environment AND saving a parking space for someone who can't take the bus. Also, with my UT student ID (which still looks like me since I look like I'm 12 years-old) I can ride the bus for free. That's right, FREE! So, it's a free ride to work when I need it. And it's about the same amount of time I would spend looking for a parking spot after sitting in traffic. :) I'm so pumped. Hopefully, my trips are much easier than these girls':
