I PUT IN MY TWO WEEKS NOTICE TODAY!!!!
I know what you're thinking, "But, Blair, you don't have another job to go to...you were already only making minimum wage, what will you do?!?"
Well, bitches, I do have another job. That's right, as of 3:52 p.m. today, KXAN, local NBC affiliate, offered me a job. Not just any job, either, a freakin' great job! My title hasn't been decided upon yet, but they're thinking either New Media Journalist or Web Desk Editor. I will accept either as long as I get business cards. Yes, that's right. It's deal breaker for me. Business cards? I'm sold. LIN Television owns KXAN, which I've found is a great company. They are constantly buying new products and trying to stay up to date on technology. Also, KXAN has an affiliation with CNN and BusinessWeek. That means, any of their content, they can use at their disposal. That may not sound like a great thing, but when you're working for a company whose story gets put on the front page of Cnn.com?!? That's pretty incredible.
So, I had to say it. I'm really excited about it. Though, when I told my business boss she said she was "mortally betrayed." I'm pretty sure she wasn't kidding either.
