Keep your legs crossed

So, the Statesman is doing this huge project right now on abstinence and it's effect on Texas students. It's really interesting. It's on going, so you can keep checking the Statesman website for updates on it. Should be updated through Sunday. Here's the video below:

Just wanted to share that with everyone. It's kind of interesting, since I had spoken earlier in this blog about the pregnant teens in Massachusetts.

I start the night shift on Sunday. I'm excited about having days off. My plan for the days are as follows:
* Wake up late
* Go run around the neighborhood, at least a mile
* Change into my swimsuit
* Lay out by the pool until I'm too sweaty
* Go back inside and shower from my workout/laying out
* Do some errands that I need to get done like dry-cleaning, updating my phone at Verizon, etc.

Sounds pretty luxe to me. Also, in two weekends, I'm going to Port Aransas with David's family, which should be really fun. I've actually never been to that part of the Texas coast. Granted, about 90% of the Texas coast is pretty awful, but I don't really care. I mean, it's a weekend at the beach and that'll be enjoyable. :) Hence why laying out is important the next few weeks. I need to get a good base before heading to the lack-of-ozone area that is Port Aransas.

Yep, spending $1 billion telling kids not to do what they're going to do anyway is a really smart way to spend money. And prevent teen pregnancy and STDs. Yeahhh. God, I hate abstinence-only education. Dumbest thing EVER.

Yeah, I mean, obviously abstinence is the only way to prevent pregnancy. I mean, that's logical. But, the only way to prevent car accident deaths is NOT to avoid driving. There's driving slower, abiding by the rules, and wearing a seatbelt. Way to think in the box, Texas.
