Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!

So, I love grassroots campaigns. That's pretty much half the reason I find Obama so interesting. Or even just politics in general. Something I learned about at work today really made me giggle and smile. Now, I'm just going to put the trailer below, but I'll also link to the entire video in parts. GSD&M, a local advertising firm, has some great clients. One is BMW. Now, the best part of advertising is they are starting to realize that I'm not alone in this love for grassroots campaigns. So, they generated a mockumentary—or pseudo-documentary—about a small town in Bovaria. The point being, this small town called Oberpfaffelbachen is building a HUGE ramp in hopes of "launching" the new BMW 1-Series into California for its debut. I strongly suggest you watch the videos. It's HILARIOUS!

Here is the video is parts:
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4 is not available on YouTube. But, you can watch the video in it's entirety at The Ramp Movie website.

Ok, now that I'm done pimping out the new BMW series on my blog, here's some personal news.

Last night, Christine and I went to go see the secret, free screening of Hellboy. I was really pumped. Well, after waiting in the line for an hour in the heat (because, yes, at 7:30 at night, it was still a sweltering 94 degrees outside) they told us they gave out more passes than they had seats. So, we didn't get access. Though, we did get free passes to the third Mummy, Rainn Wilson's new movie and some documentary that's supposed to be like a modern-day Breakfast Club. They also gave us these sweet sawed off horns, that Christine is sporting here. But, almost more importantly, we stood behind this guy in line that had, most definitely, the worst sock tan I've ever seen. Please enlarge the photo below to get the full effect. This photo is completely unaltered. Amazing, no? And, no, I have no clue what is growing on his right foot. Most likely something dangerous.
