Since I'm exhausted...

So, obviously no one is a big enough dork to comment on my last two very dorky blog entries. Thus, I will center myself closer to the mainstream.

The last two nights, I have gotten a combined four hours of sleep. Construction crews are repairing 2222 and there are HUGE construction trucks who have that permanent "backing up" noise on the entire night. I know what you are thinking. "Blair, just get earplugs." Yeah, well, genius, I have them. In fact, I have super earplugs, the ones that people use in shooting ranges that my brother gave to me. They are marvelous. However, even that wax could not keep out the BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.

And, as if that noise wasn't divine enough, there are multiple trucks. With different rates of beeping. All going simultaneously. It's a cacophony of beeps. I seriously considered calling the city last night to complain, like a curmudgeon. I mean, the trucks don't arrive until midnight. MIDNIGHT. That means, even if I go to bed earlier than normal, I wake up at most three hours later. They work until 5:45ish in the morning.

So, what have I been doing in this free time? I've been re-reading Lord of the Rings, of course. I realized it had been probably about two years since I had read it, so I figured it was due time. And, honestly, I was hoping it was be a lullaby for me to overpower the beeping. It didn't work. I think the video below is the ONLY instance of a happy beeping noise:
