Oh yeah, that blog thing

I can barely stand up today. Last night, I had a 101.4 degree fever. Did I mention that I was covering Austin City Limits with that fever. What a person will do for a media pass...

Overall, ACL went really well. I forgot my notes this morning, so I have to write my final ACL story tonight instead of during the day.

I took trillions of pictures at ACL and would love if you'd look through them. I also took my Flip camera (which, if you don't have one, you should get one, they are awesome and easy to use and cheap!) and got lots of video of concerts. So, if you missed some acts at ACL this year, check out my videos.

Overall, this weekend was about covering ACL. I think I did ok. I wrote tons of stories, took lots of pictures and filmed a lot. It was really nifty to be up with real photographers and getting the same access they did. Also, hopefully I did well enough this year that they'll let me do this again next year. Next time I'll wearing a mask though. The dust was unbearable.

I actually didn't get too sunburned either. I got a little pink on my chest, but nothing that won't be gone by tomorrow which is nice. I mean, I only wore SPF 15 for all three days and I was there about 24 hours total (granted, about 5 of that spent in the shade). But, with temperatures hovering around 90 degrees, it's pretty amazing that I didn't turn a bright shade of red.

I'm excited about this weekend, my mom is coming in town for Cassie's brother's wedding in Austin. She'll be staying with me and David. I've got to clean the apartment so it no longer looks like a warzone (I blame ACL, of course).
