Well, today my boy turns 23. Finally, I don't feel like such a cougar. So, congrats, babe. Tonight we'll probably go to the Gingerman and hang out. Tomorrow, I have some pretty nifty things planned for him. Hope he likes it.
Yesterday I made a big decision. On June 7, 2009, I will be doing a century bike ride in Tahoe. And, yes, that is what it sounds like. It's a 100-mile bike ride. It's called America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride, and honestly, it looks like it's aptly named. The bike ride goes around Lake Tahoe and it look spectacular.
The organization doing the 100-mile bike ride is called Team in Training. The idea behind the bike ride is I train twice a week (once with a team and once with a partner) starting in January. It's going to be intense, but I'm really excited about it. I think it'll be a great experience. Plus, the best part of the organization is they pay for your lodging and it's for a good cause. I have to fundraise $4,000. It sounds like a lot of money and it is. But, I know my mom's friends, my friends and my relatives will help as much as they can. Also, I have lots of co-workers that will help. All in all, I'm really excited about the decision. I'll keep you guys posted on the training once it starts in January. In the meantime, I'm going to buy a bike and ask for a really nice one for Christmas. Really excited.
Good email of the day? Sure:
cell phone towers
Question: In Philly cell phone towers and location have been of great debate.
Middle ground was found with the use of towers that look like trees. Even in the affluent neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, PA there are numerous tower of this type. While these are significantly taller due to terrain and trees in PA. ,here in austin this type of tower would have less impact.
Something for folks to consider since no one offerred it. Oh, yes, birds especially hawks love the gadget.
I lived in Chesnut Hill when I lived in Penn. for 14 months. Weird. Beyond the point. Why the heck is this guy contacting us? At no point in our broadcasts did we mention the debate over cell phone towers. I don't get people sometimes.
