So, I'm working my bum off for ACL coverage this week. Every day this week we have a new interview with an ACL performer. Today, I did a story on Nakia and His Southern Cousins. He was a pretty chill guy and I enjoyed interviewing him. I did the videos on the side of the story too. I'd love it if you would read it/watch the videos.
Today I have a phoner (that's what they call a phone interview in the biz...I like to see cool) today at 3 p.m. with another band member. I'm pretty excited about all of these opportunities. Day in and day out, this gig is much better than my job at the Statesman. My story I wrote was picked up by CNN yesterday. It's pretty excited getting these opportunities.
Tonight is our bye week for sand volleyball. It couldn't have come at a better time. We really need to get better at volleyball. We kind of suck. I'm certainly no help, but I'm not really hurting either, unlike some.
Media pass this weekend? Awesome. I get free stuff, air conditioning, free food and all access stuff. It's gonna be a great week.
