As if things weren't bad enough

Well, I come to work this morning and we have trillions of hate emails from some local Republican groups who are angry that we covered Palin's daughter's pregnancy. Now, by covered, we put a 30 second reader on the news at 5 p.m. We didn't even mention it in either of the 6 p.m. or 10 p.m. I mean, I don't understand. It's not like we said she was a slut. I mean, everyone makes mistakes. If Obama had of age daughters and they were preggers and we covered it, I think all of those groups would find it relevant. I don't get it. We have to be fair. We would do the same thing if Obama did something. When the Edwards thing came out about the affair, the media was all over that.

However, things keep getting worse for the Palin daughter, Bristol. Pictures came out today of her drinking at parties. Now, we hope she isn't pregnant in these pictures (nor does she look like she is). But, if she isn't pregnant at these parties, that means she was 16-years-old at the oldest. What a mess for her. Here are some of the pictures.

Now, don't get me wrong. I knew my share of private school girls in high school. They all were wild children. And, I admire that Palin told McCain that her daughter was pregnant when he chose her. However, I would assume she knew she had a bit a wild child and that pictures like this would start to come out. I mean, people find things out. It's just such a mess. I feel sorry for her. You know some of her friends probably took these pictures and I just really hope someone found them on MySpace and not that her friends gave her up.

Side note, a whole bottle of Captain Morgan? Impressive. Back to point A, surely there's not much to do in Alaska. I mean, I can't blame Bristol. Haha. On a side note, I'm glad she's keeping the baby. At least that keeps with Palin's values. Not that she had a choice. But, let's pretend for a moment that she did. I mean, everyone says they don't like the choice until someone you know is pushed into making one. I think it's all about choice. I mean, some choose to not have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption. I have no problem with that. I just think that if a girl gets raped in an alley walking to her car and gets pregnant from that, she should be able to have the choice to not have that child of a traumatic event. If she wants to, then that's her prerogative.

So, working all weekend wasn't cool. But, I get holiday pay for yesterday and that will definitely be nice. I needed some extra funds. How was your weekend?

I don't get it. They were mad at a news station for covering news?

People are dumb.

Yeah, they said it wasn't important. I mean, I see their point, but we had to report if Chelsea was preggers adn that would be relevant to Clinton? I mean, it's fair.
