Rainy days and Mondays...

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's raining outside. Austin has been dying for some rain. However, I find it really difficult to get up in the morning when it rains. Also, I wanted to run this morning, but it was pouring when I got up at 7:30 to do so, so I couldn't go. Yes, I could have ACTUALLY run in the rain, but I didn't want to risk catching a cold or sprinting up those crazy steep hills in the rain. Risk of falling? Great.

Another bad thing about it raining was I couldn't take the bus. I plan this next week to buy a very nice umbrella so I won't mind it as much. But, bus riding in the rain is always really gross. Buses smell when they're wet.

Well, the Olympic ratings will probably fall off a lot now that Phelps isn't racing. But, KXAN is so high right now from our ratings, I think that no one will be grumpy. They finished every news meeting by saying "G-F-Dub." For the longest time, I had no clue what the hell they meant. Then, I finally asked the news director what it meant. He responded simply "Go fight win...but shortened." Haha. Could not stop laughing at that. So awesome.

I went shopping this weekend since it was tax-free. I got some great stuff from work, so I'm excited about that. Banana Republic was supposedly having a great sale and I didn't see that as much. J.Crew, however, was putting everything on sale and that was great. I love getting two skirts for $20. Cheap, nice clothes make Blair very happy.

Tonight I NEED to do laundry. There is no longer room in the corner of my room for clothes. They are billowing onto the floor. If dirty clothes CAN billow, they are definitely doing it.

I get paid this Friday which is very much needed. I haven't been paid in 3 weeks and my bank account is starting to get an unhappy face. However, it's hard to stop spending when you know things will be rectified in a short time. The Statesman paid every week, so it's weird to not have money coming in for so long. The pay period here is two weeks. Not that long, but trust me it feels that way.

Now for an awesome video. My friend alerted me to this. Alicia Sacramone (of the U.S. gymnastics team) was confronted at some frat party about how gymnasts aren't strong. Some guy said "I'll bet if you punch me, it won't hurt at all." Well, he's sorry after this: (watch the video!)
