Busy, busy, busy...

Well, today was INSANE! First off, I enter the building for work and the following things are happening:
1. The water is shut off (thus no water fountains or using the bathroom)
2. The TV is out (because Time Warner is the bane of my existence and is TERRIBLE)

Maybe that doesn't sound like such a bad thing. But, when you just downed a whole 16 oz of orange juice and can't pee, it's awful. As for the TV being out, with soccer and golf being played, it was pretty difficult to get breaking news without television.

Then later on, the Brightcove server went down (that's how we load videos). Also our camera's zoom broke, so when I shot video today, I had to get crazy close in her biznass. I think that's the official spelling.

Then, as previously discussed, I can't say no. I did two videos and edited them today. Which is great and I love the opportunity, but I was already on deadline for two other things which I had to rush through. One video was the daily Music Minute (I have to do one tomorrow too) and the other I was super excited about it. A.J. Abrams is returning to UT and I compiled the video of his press conference. Bill, my friend from the Statesman that I wrote the fairy tale with, shot the video. I'm so glad Abrams is returning, he really needs to get another year under his belt. Or, I guess shorts in this case.

This weekend was chock full of things. Friday, as discussed was the ever successful Friday the 13th party. Then, around noon, all the interns from the paper (well, the ones that were cool enough to come) came over to have a pool party. We ate delicious food and hung out in the pool in +100 degree weather. Some got burned. I won't mention who. Also, darn you Danny for not getting in the pool. You are eternally lame to me...at least for five minutes. After the pool party, it was time to dodge to the Round Rock Express game. Their pitcher was horrendous and that's about it. It was in celebration of David's dad's Father's Day. Wow, that was a lot of possession.

Sunday was nice, though surreal. My dad was in China, so I couldn't speak with him, which was sad. He just got back in Plano today and will leave again for China on July 7th. He is going more and more lately, it seems. I know his job must be very trying for him. I got him a picture of the family when we were in Hawai'i (see right). I miss seeing him. I went over to David's parents to continue his Father's Day tradition: watching Casablanca. I love that movie so much. Here's the most inspirational scene, in my opinion. Vive la France!
