Beer partay!

“Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” - Ben Franklin
So, last night was our beer exchange party. It was a blast. The premise, you ask?

Everyone brings two six-packs of beer to the party. They can't bring something lame like Miller or Bud or Coors. They have to bring some obscure. One six-pack is for people to taste. The second six pack will be used at the end of the night. As people prepare to leave, they "make their own six pack" out of the beers they were interested in/liked the label of/wanted to try but didn't.

It was so much fun. David and I were cooking fiends at this party. Check out this spread we had (pictured left). We had hot, boneless wings, Italian meatballs, spinach/artichoke dip with French bread baked to perfection, guacamole with Christmas-colored chips, a cheese tray, a veggie tray (with ranch dip), Christmas cookies that had snowmen and Christmas trees designed on them and last-but-not-least muddy buddies/puppy chow/reindeer droppings. (It depends on what part of the country, I found out at this party, to what you call them).

Everyone seemed to have a blast. The snow was still dripping off the roof and gathered in the yard, so our Christmas party had a winter-wonderland-feeling to it. We have TONS of leftover beer (see? Best party theme ever!) We listened to my Christmas music the whole night. We had on our TV playing (in this order...) A Christmas Story, Bad Santa and White Christmas. Glorious.

Overall, a success. As everyone was leaving at 2 a.m., lots of my friends said "We have to make this a yearly thing!" I couldn't disagree at all.

Do you have any holiday parties this year? If so, what were they?

OoO I want to go to there :p
This is such an awesome idea...maybe I'll do this for my birthday party this year hehe! Glad your party was fun. We didn't do a lot of partying this Christmas. My work had a party last Thursday. We did Christmas movie trivia and Christmas CogTesting (a play on the assessments we give our Schizophrenic patients). It was pretty fun.
