So, I've wanted to blog for a while now, but I've been so crazy, I've had no time to do so. I mean, it's a good busy. But, still.
At first, I wanted to blog about my bachelorette weekend a couple weekends ago. However, I was waiting to post about it until I got some photos from my bridesmaid Shelley. She has been busy too, so she hasn't given me them. Thus, no blog.
Then, I wanted to blog about sports. I've been watching an abnormal amount of sports lately (like, way more than usual, which is saying something because I watch a lot of sports). But, that's the most boring blog ever. "I'm watching sports...yatta yatta yatta _fill in blank here_" Thus, no blog again.
After that, I wanted to blog about work because it's been insane. Election Night on Tuesday, huge verdict on Friday and a busy weekend of sports watching finally relaxed me. However, I've found that all of my blogs about work end up being a) boring and b) sounding like I hate my job when I feel exactly the opposite.
In the end, ironically, my busy life has not led to lots of blog entries because of all the subjects I have to discuss. It's led to nothing.
Something I finally can blog about, however, is my training.
I've decided to train for a half-marathon. Anyone that's ever met me knows I do not run and can't really run either. Well, I went to the doctor and got some great drugs that make me not feel the immense pain in my hip as much as I usually do. After that, and wanting to lose those last, pesky seven pounds before the wedding, I started to look into races around the city. Then, it hit me. A half-marathon. I've seen way less fit people "run" one, so surely I could, right?
Turns out, running is hard. I'm still signed up. In fact, Brandan and I will run together in mid-October in the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in Denver (obviously, I'm staying with her). But, running is hard, make no mistake. I'm excited. I've already lost a good bit of weight, which is enjoyable because I'm not just losing weight, I'm toning up, which is what I really wanted. So, hooray running.

Yayness for training! You should post your milestones on here. "Today I ran three miles without stopping for the first time!" etc.
Good idea, Christine. Will do. The other day I ran 2 miles without stopping. That was very exciting for me at 6,000 feet elevation.
