Like sleeping on a cloud

My entire life, ever since I was a little kid, I have had trouble sleeping. When I was in elementary school, I never slept. I would nap about 30 minutes at night. I would just go to the library and pick up 4 new books everyday, read all of them that night and then return them the next day for four new ones. I usually read in really dim light so my parents wouldn't notice. My parents didn't know until I was in middle school that I had sleeping issues.

Then, I hit middle school. My parents took me to the doctor to see if it was something dietary or stress-related. They couldn't figure it out. They though, just maybe, that I was just one of those people who suffered from insomnia very early on in life.

I still wasn't sleeping. It wasn't until high school that I would sleep more than an hour or so a night. I credit that "sleep" - if you could call it that - to my busy schedule and being legitimately exhausted.

When David and I moved to Albuquerque, my sleep problems were still present. We moved here and bought a new mattress. One of those antimicrobial foam mattresses (not a TempurPedic, I'm not that rich, but something like it). Ever since we bought this mattress, it has COMPLETELY changed my sleeping habits.

I now fall asleep in less than 30 minutes (a freaking record for me). I sleep almost the entire night through (something I've never been able to do). I sleep deeper too (getting good REM sleep, dreaming, etc.). It's incredible.

So, I tell everyone out there that is ever going to shop for a mattress, please spend the extra mullah on one. It will change your life.
