Attack of the monster pizza

Every week, we have potluck. Normally, David and Brandan and I are really the only ones who cook. Ian is a nice enough man to do all the dishes in exchange fohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifr us not eating "The Ian Special" every week.

Now, a week ago, we got a flyer on our door from a local pizza parlor that said "Get a free order of pasta, garlic bread, salad and 2-liter of cola with the purchase of a 24" pizza."

I mean, that's a LOT of food. A LOT of food. In turn, we thought this deal would be great for potluck.

I had to work late potluck night, so the three of them ordered the food without me (which is what I wanted), so when I got home, the doorbell rang nearly moments later.

So, I guess at some point, the three of them had discussed that 24" pizza is really, really big. I mean, tis' two-feet o'pizza. Still, the order was made. And, the size did NOT disappoint. 24" is pretty amazing (see the photo). We had to put a dollar bill next to it because the photo on its own did not do the large-ness of the photo justice. It was nearly shocking. We had to gather our chairs on one side of the table just so the top of the box could have its own space. David said it looked like we were worshiping the God of Pizza. Made me giggle.

Long story short, this pizza place was "better than mall pizza, but not somewhere you would take someone from out of town." So, even though the flyer did get me to eat their pizza, it was not nearly worth the indigestion that I got later.
