OK, so my whole life I only wore dresses for special occasions, like prom or a wedding. Either way, I always hated the way I looked in dresses. I'm not fishing for compliments here. I'm simply saying that I know I'm adequately skinny, but dresses tend to make me look bigger than I am.
The main problem I have with this dress issue is I really love dresses. I am usually incredibly warm and dresses really cool you off in the hot hot heat of Texas. However, I've been burdened. So, I went to a website where you can figure out which type of wedding dress suits your body type. I figured I would use this as a guideline for just normal dresses I could buy.
Well, here's my problem. I'm 5'2", pretty big busted, no hips, short-waisted with really long legs. That's right. My body is kind of oddly shaped. Thus, I started reading.
Supposedly, because I'm short-waisted, I should only wear dresses with drop waists and stray away from anything with an empire waist. However, it also said, since I'm short, I should wear empire waists and stray away from drop waists. Then, because I'm petite, I should wear sheath dresses, but because I'm big busted, I should stray away from them.
The more research I do into dresses, the more I think I should never wear them.
I mean, honestly, what's a short, big-boobed girl to do?

Hmm. I'm no fashion expert, but as far as I know, if you have a small torso or a waist that's not too well defined, you should wear dresses with emphasis at the waist, as that creates a waist. Also, I thought empire anything was universally flattering.
Eh. I dunno.
I remember the dress you wore to prom (at least I'm pretty sure it was prom) and you looked great in it. I don't remember the skirt as much, but it was halter on the top. I thought it looked fabulous, so maybe a skirt like that?
You're right, Ash, it was a halter top. And thanks for the compliment! I guess the issue is I am pretty skinny now that I'm working out a lot, yet I feel no dresses accentuate that.
