So, once I started my new job, I have had little to no time to cook. Or workout. Or do much of anything besides catch up with my ABC (and one NBC) shows. But, once I almost got out of my size 2s, I decided it was time to get my butt off the couch and out of the McDonald's drive-thru.
So, I started a diet. By a diet, I mean, I'm now mainly cooking Cooking Light recipes. They are actually pretty divine (I like them a lot) and all trying to actually eat the serving size that they recommend. I have to shrink my stomach back to a normal person's size. The biggest issue right now with America is the serving size. People eat a burger, fries and a soda, which is WAY more than one person needs. I've been trying to (if I have to eat out) only get a burger or only get fries. That helps a lot. Also, I gave up soda and I think I'm finally feeling it (yeah, about 4 months after I stop). I stopped a while back and have probably had about 4 since then. One a month ain't so bad!
Nonetheless, I'm liking exercising and eating well. It makes me feel better during the day. I also haven't bought lunch since this weekend when I went out with my friend to lunch. I've been taking leftovers or a sandwich in to work everyday. That helps a lot.
Hey, if you read my blog, you should donate to my biking cause! Here's the website or you can mail me a check made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! Every single dollar helps!
