When life gives you lemons...

A good friend of mine told me that bad things come in threes. I'm really hoping that is true, because I'm officially sick of all of this crazyness happening.

First, a few weeks ago, we got burglarized. They stole our lawn mower, our weed-whacker and our three bikes (one of which is my really nice road bike). Sucky thing #1.

Then, last week, I T-boned a lady who ran a red light. But since there were no witnesses to the wreck, we each had to each pay our deductible and had to be without our cars for two weeks. Awesome. Sucky thing #2.

Yesterday, I had to take Milo to the animal hospital because he couldn't keep water and food down. He was throwing up constantly, and he had some blood in his waste (which is not good, for those who didn't know). They kept him overnight because he was severely dehydrated. They gave him an IV and ran a lot of bloods tests. They found that he had a high red-blood-cell count - which is also concerning because that means he could have an internal bleed. After lots of tests and keeping him overnight, he was finally able to keep down a little water and a little food. We picked him up at 5 p.m. today and he's pretty lethargic but still in much better spirits than he was last night. I'm just so glad he's feeling better. He's not completely on the mend, but he's on the right place. Sucky thing #3.

David and I are traveling to Napa Valley with Brandan and Ian this weekend. I'll tell you what. We. Need. A. Vacation. Wine, wine and more wine: Here we come!

Girrlll! You go drink that wine and enjoy Your.selves.

I'm so sorry that all this bad has happened, but to be cliche (and true!) "If God brought you to it. He will bring you through it!"

It will get better :) Hugs

Aw Blair, I am so sorry all of that happened to you (and Schex). I'm with Emily -- go enjoy yourselves and relax!

Do you have any idea how Milo got internal bleeding? That's so scary!

@Christine - they say he just ate something he shouldn't have. And when he was throwing up, I guess he retched so hard that it caused a bleed in his GI tract. Not. Cool.
