Becoming quite wife-like

So, having a set schedule has turned me into quite the housewife.

Everyday, I come home and David and I cook dinner. Then, after we eat, we pack up the leftovers into tupperware so we can both eat the leftovers for lunch the next day. Then, I get this crazy urge to bake. It's the craziest thing. I've never been a huge baker. However, now that I have time to do so, I want to all the time. Even more ironically, I now live above 5,000 feet, so I have to bake for high altitudes, which is really weird. So, last week, I made caramel-drizzled brownies. This week, I made a gingerbread cake with lemon frosting. WTF self? Heck, I'm even eating breakfast in the morning, which I NEVER did before.

I think because we got really nice stuff for our new place I'm suddenly inspired to keep the place clean. I'm making the bed every morning.

Also, I found out my permanent hours after April 12. I'll be working from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. It's pretty awesome because I'll be able to work out after work. And cook. And possibly bake with this random wife-like inclination I'm getting. So, yay!

Brett had that schedule in Utah and he will have it again for a month when we get to Oregon. Best. Schedule. Ever. I'm glad you're baking! You should check out some of the stuff I have on my cooking blog! They usually turn out really well.

Baking is so fun. It's simple and sort of mindless yet you're creating something so it's a huge stress reliever. I'm baking break-n-bake cookies for my next-door neighbor tomorrow (Sadia's little sister Reeka) because Reeka takes Henry out for me. Not gonna lie; I'm excited about it, even though all I have to do is 1) break and 2) bake.

Just don't turn into Izzie...

Yeah, pretty sure break-n-bake doesn't count, but I love you anyway. I will MOST DEFINITELY not turn into Izzie. Since Izzie sucks.
