Forgotten celebration

Well, I forgot to celebrate my 100th post (two posts ago). Pretty impressive if I do say so myself. So, yay!

I'm starting to get sick of the phrase "president-elect." Does anyone else have that issue where you hear a phrase so often that it loses its meaning? That's happening to me with "president-elect." Like, isn't it obvious he won? And do we call McCain "president-non-elect?" I think not. There should be a choice of terms or no term at all. I mean, if people don't know by now that Obama won the election, they shouldn't be Americans.

This is true, but I think they may say that phrase because he's not president yet, but he's going to be. It's a weird transition. I don't know what to call him. I feel like he needs a title, but Mr. is not enough, and he isn't president yet. I'll feel better in January.

Yeah, seriously. Like, I get why the term is the way it is, but I've become completely oblivious to it.
