FINALLY!!!

It happened! Today at 2 p.m., our new Web site launched. I know what you're thinking. My God, Blair, wasn't that thing supposed to launch like LAST MONTH? Well, yes. However, we were ready by launch date. Then, corporate wanted to delay it. Then we were ready by the NEW launch date. Then the company who made the program for our new Web site wanted us to delay so they could sort out bugs. Then we were ready again, but another site had issues so we had to delay AGAIN. Point being, this damn thing has been delayed forever and none of the times it was our fault. However, now it is up. All bet are off. Yay!

Well, gosh, so much has happened since my last post here. My grandmother has gotten very sick, but I think she's better now. They think she might have had gall bladder disease. They aren't sure still though. My aunt Robin got her cancer surgery. Hopefully that got everything they needed. My two year anniversary was on the 12th. That went lovely. I'm excited about the musical season tickets that David got for us. :) And, now, our new Web site is launched. Life, finally, feels back on track.

It's winter-y here now. It was 38 degrees this morning (how lovely!) and now it's, like, 70. It's so refreshing. I love sleeping in the winter. I completely understand hibernation by bears. It always sounded like a great idea, that whole sleep when it's cold thing. I think that's why I never rushed to get up on Christmas morning. I was always so comfortable in bed and I knew I didn't have school.

KXAN got a new anchor and she starts today. Her name is Leslie Rhode (pronounced Road-ee) and she seems rather lovely. She's nice, smart and has two young kids who I don't want to shoot. Always a bonus.

Now, my favorite story of the week. UFO sighting. Couldn't get any better than that. Here's the story. But, the best part was not the story itself, though it was rather good. The best part was the response email we got today. Here ya go, stupid email of the day (entitled UFO SITING (no joke, spelled like that):
Those men weren't the only one to see something! I was outside my apartment this past Saturday night 10/25 and saw something unexplainable. During late twilight I was standing on my porch on Slaughter and saw what looked like plan lights, but there was a definitely different feel to the craft itself. It looked like a super long blimp, like the Hindenberg. It had flashing red/white lights at the tip and was flying east. If it was a saucer shape we would have been looking at it directly from the side, very thin and moving fast. I watched it for 4 minutes from the western horizon, till I could no longer see it over my building.... weird stuff.

Man, I still wake up at like 5:30 on Christmas. And I want you to know that the word verification says "covet" as in "I covet your musical season tickets."
